This scene occurs when Lucy visits Joe and Noble Ali as the two are putting up the posts that will later be used to hold the runaway slaves.

Now you be a real man and you treat her right. 
Lucy, I give you this man.

Now this boy is as slippery as a snake
so you just hold on tight to him.
Boy changes colors faster than the chameleon
