The Doctrinal Heritage of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church
The church follows the teachings of Christianity as well as other unique beliefs that set it apart as the Zion Methodist Church.
The beliefs of the followers grew out of the enslavement of their forebearers and the church was a place where God’s liberating influenced could be experienced.
The followers believed that God had called them out of their bondage and had chosen them to be His people and a channel of His redeeming love for all people.
