Florence
Cawthorne Ladd was
born on June 16, 1932. She is an educator, psychologist, and executive.
Ladd received a bachelor’s degree from Howard University, and a Ph.D.
from the University of Rochester. She has worked as an associate professor
at Simmons College and Harvard Graduate School of Design; research
associate at Harvard Graduate School of Education; associate dean at
MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning; and dean of students at
Wellesley College, etc. She has also served as director at the Mary
Ingraham Bunting Institute of Radcliffe College. Ladd is a member of the
National Council for Research on Women, the United National and
International Research &Training Institute for the Advancement of
Women, and others. Ladd was named honorary member of the American
Institute of Architects, and received awards from the Wellesley Alumnae
Association, and other organizations.
